There Is Still Time! Go For It!

Christmas day is gone. JOY is still here. JESUS is still here. One thing that won't be here much longer is 2009. We are approaching a new year. For some this exemplifies a new beginning, a greater level, or even for some closure to a past that no longer wants to be remembered. Whatever this new year means to each of us and how we want to accomplish what we want to accomplish it's so good to know that it's never too late...

2010! Wow, that sounds so weird right now. I mean, to think on how fast time moves ahead with no permission. Hello!! Wake up call. Time waits for no one. I know you know what I'm talking about. If you do then you know that sometimes fear tries to take over and make us think that we are racing against time. We are so gullible and believe that. Why should we race time when we know we cannot? It'll win every time. Knowing that it will win will make us fear. Listen, what we can do is RUN WITH time. I learned that we can only do so much in a set amount of time every day. Each of us have the same amount of it so it's not like we can borrow some from our bff's (friends) or relatives. Remember the scripture the race is not given to the swift nor to the strong but to the one that endures to the end? Well really quick let me quote the whole verse, the unedited version. Here it goes... "I saw something else under the sun. The race isn't [won] by fast runners, or the battle by heroes. Wise people don't necessarily have food. Intelligent people don't necessarily have riches, and skilled people don't necessarily receive special treatment. But time and unpredictable events overtake all of them (Eccl.9:11)." Running because of time is frustrating and makes fear greater. Running with time will get you where you want to go, understanding that everything is in perspective and that there is a season and time for everything. Even though we have to work time, make plans, follow through and PRAY God has a way of making it come together, :-), when it's time.

Remember when I mentioned that we shouldn't fear? Well here's the reason why, God holds time in His hand. He is the Author and the Finisher of our faith.. Fear tries to cripple us because of how fast time seems like it's going and how we haven't mastered or done what we were supposed to because of our past mistake, procrastination or being held back by unfortunate events in life; no need to fear...He will restore to you the years the canker worm and the locusts have stolen(Joel 2:25). God will restore you and alllll the years that you thought you lost. When we acknowledge Him in all our ways He will direct our paths. God will establish us. He will give us insight. He will show us what steps we ought to take. Don't fear, there is still time.

So the trick is...there is not trick. You must give it to God. Let Him be in control. Grab a hold to time and let the Lord be your guide. Instead of fearing it, let it take you into a land of holistic prosperity. Hey, one thing about time that we won't ever fear is how there is ALWAYS time to get things right. So in this new year, 2010. Trust God, make plans, follow through and run WITH time.

In this last week of 2009 give us what we need to go into 2010 so that we can start and finish this new year with a greater understanding that will lead to even greater accomplishments. Accomplishments from wanting a cleaner home to wanting to show more love unconditionally to finishing high school or a degree to being an entrepreneur and the list goes on Lord. Father empower us for this new year. Make us what you have designed us to be from the beginning. Thank you for 2009 and all that we went through and the lessons we learned. A Joyful Season In Not So Joyful Times

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

Ahhh! Christmas is finally here. I love this time of the year. It brings so much goodness with it. Christmas has to do with how much good Jesus brought when He came to earth. After all, He is the reason for the season.

Unfortunately, though this season is a joyful one, this year has been especially difficult for a lot of people. Financially, mentally, socially and the list goes on. The economy alone is an issue that has touched us all this year; most of us in a negative way. But one thing I can honestly say is that being a believer in Jesus has helped me and can help you to understand that our economic situation on this earth is temporal. All things work together for good to them that love God. Did you know that the benefits of believing in Christ as the Son of God makes us inheritors of the kingdom (Roman 8:14-17)? An awesome thing is we don't have to wait 3 months for these benefits. They kick in automatically. We become kingdom kids right away. Kingdom kids live on kingdom economy. Don't let this time of economic crisis ruin the reality of this season. In the kingdom economy there is no lack. You may feel like there is but if you really look around, you really have all that you need.

Here...I have a gift for you. A delivery from God. His name is JESUS. Jesus is the reason for the season. Have joy. Be glad. Jesus came that we may live and live MORE abundantly. Grant it, there are folks that have lots and lots of money to spend this season but do they have JOY? I understand that they are happy for what they have but besides all of that STUFF; when it's all said and done...The tree comes down, the garland is put away, the lights are neatly put back in their boxes...what now? You see, the joy of the Lord can never be taken away nor will it ever go away. It remains. Even in hard times. It's not based on what happens, it's based on who happened. Jesus happened. He was born in a manger so that we may have peace, joy, and good will toward men.

Oh...and about the kids, you may ask? If you are joyful the kids will be also. They feed off of YOU...Teach them true joy in this season. They won't be kids forever you know.

Don't get it twisted folks. Be joyful in this season. All the hype will pass but JESUS, the center of our JOY will always remain.

Lord Jesus, thank you for this beautiful season as we celebrate your birth. We remember that you came so that we can live. Thank you that we realize the real reason for this season. The reason is You. You are the reason we live, move and have our being. We love you Jesus and continue to shine throughout this world. Even if it's through us your servants.

Lord for those that need to know you let them understand if they believe in their hearts and confess with their mouths You, Lord Jesus, that God has raised You from the dead that they will be saved (kingdom kids). We love you and in Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Don't ever give up on what you heard, what you desire or what you believe. Keep believing for it. Every victory will happen but you have to be patient. Before every take off there has to be acceleration. Let your life situations accelerate you until lift off.

Even though you may not understand it. Trust God to bring what you're believing for to pass. You are the only one that can do what you do and the way you do it. PLEASE don't cheat yourself by not fulfilling your purpose. PLEASE don't cheat me by not fulfilling your purpose. :-) We all need one another. What you have I may need and what I have you may need. Don't be afraid. God put everything you need inside of you for you to keep going. He is cheering you on. He sees the end and knows that you are what you aspire to be cause He put that aspiration in you. You just have to not pay attention to your current circumstances to the point where they negatively dictate your level of motivation. Allow your circumstances to be the positive fuel to your acceleration in life.

Jesus Is Love

Love...It never fails.

Been beat up, lied on, cheated on, talked about, mistreated, misunderstood? Want out?
Want to move on? Can't find the courage to be bold enough to make the move or attempt the change? I know why... Not enough love.

Love makes us free. When we love ourselves we can do anything. When we love who God has made us to be we are unstoppable. God made us fearfully and wonderfully (Psalms 139). We need to realize that we need to love ourselves enough to not tolerate some things to dominate in our lives. The bible talks about us loving our neighbors as we love ourselves (Luke 10:27). So obviously the Lord wants us to love ourselves. Don't let your past experiences tell you who you are. Be who God has created you to be from the foundations of the world. This leads to loving yourself. By becoming, you will love.

Love never fails because love allows you to let go and move on. Love is merciful, pure, longsuffering, kind, and patient... Whatever the situation, love will allow you to move forward. Did someone hurt you? Love manifested through mercy allows you to forgive and move forward. Did someone lie or cheat on you? Pure love allows you to understand what pure love isn't, this allows you to move forward. Maybe you have finally left the situation and you feel heartbroken. With love you can hold on and be longsuffering so that you can move forward. Feeling revengful? Think on love. It will help you to show kindness. When will this all end you may ask? As soon as you let love dominate your life. Patience will come in and rescue you.

Let love rule. You can't fail when you do. Don't stay in a situation that will end up in destruction. God wants you to love yourself. After all If you don't who will? Yes, ofcourse Jesus will and does love you but He wants you to love yourself so that you can love others. You may feel like you don't know how. If you don't, God will teach you. Pray about it.

Better yet let's pray together...

Lord, in the name of Jesus, Help us to love ourselves the way you want us to. You have given us these bodies and lives but most of all you have given us you. Having you means that we have love. We thank you for removing all insecurities, unforgiveness and anger that we may move forward in love for ourselves and for others. We ask you for your help by faith in Jesus name. Amen.

We pray about alot of things. We believe God for alot of things. But are we really believing God for His will to be done in our lives? I don't know about you but I really want God to move on my behalf according to what He knows is best for me. It has not been easy getting in sink with what God wants for me rather than what I want for myself but I'm getting there. It has been a rough journey but His patience has allowed me to get to the place I am now; trusting Him more. If you have been believing for something and those things didn't come out the way you wanted them to trust God. Oh for grace to trust Him more.

We need to learn how to trust God and know that what he lets manifest in our lives is what's best for us. If we could just rest in the fact that He knows us better that we know ourselves, life will be less stressful. I mean on a real note, when we really allow His will to be done we end up in a good place, full of peace and grace. Oh for grace to trust Him more.

Why don't you join me? Let's just let God lead us and direct us into what He has for us individually. We will end up at a place greater than we had ever imagined.

Lord I'm staying in Your will. For real, I am. That is where I find peace and I can just rest knowing that You are in control. Take full control Father. I ask you to help me to release my plans into your hands. Help me to let go and let You do what's best in my life. Lord, please change my environment.

Hey everybody!

Tired of the negative people around you. Even the ones that you can't do anything about because they happen to be family? Want a better life for yourself and/or husband, kids? Want your surroundings to be peaceful and positive? You may be saying yeah, but how? I know what you mean and there is a way. No, you don't need money for it to happen. You don't even have to move to another place, far from the ones you love. Ask God to change your environment.

Hold on now. Don't go away. Seriously...Keep reading.

Ok. So. Sometimes when I am on a roll in getting things done according to what I presented to the Lord about my future plans, I sometimes can get discouraged by an environmental source (people that I am around often, lack of material possession). The people that I am around and the things I possess are part of my environment. As for the people, they can often cause distraction or discouragement intentionally or not. Nevertheless, distraction or discouragement is caused. These people or things can be family, friends, significan other, finances, or health. I get tired of being distracted or reminded of what status situations are currently in or what happened in the past that I can't do anything about. I get tired of also behaving according to how people perceive me, which often times causes me to regress in my progress. All of these things and then some can cause serious delay in reaching my goals. So I decided to blog about it. Maybe someone out in net land can relate and have some light shed on a situation you may be facing. Maybe, even a comment can help me along this journey we call life.

Listen. We can't help the families we are born into or the environment we are born into. But, we don't have to go with the flow with what our environment is dishing out to us. I don't know how growing up was for you or what things you had to face but one thing I do know is that God has always known you and that you were born for a purpose (Psalms 139). There are times when we feel like we can't get out of what we've known all our lives but we can. How? By letting God shift us. Let him catch us in the Spirit and literally take us to a higher place. A place where we are empowered, focused and not defeated. A place that will ultimately lead us into greatness, our destiny. In this place it doesn't matter what mommy said to you or how daddy wasn't there for you or even how brother and sister don't get along. When I let God take me to that place of kingdom mindedness I am liberated to move forward and operate in a realm that brings me not only peace but fulfillment. You can have that too. I'm not trying to be clicheish but truely in this place you can do all things through Christ that strengthens you. Looking beyond the circumstance and seeing the reality of who God says you are will change your environment. Your environment will change because your sight will change. You will begin to see what God sees. Then you will go where you were created to go, do what you were created to do, be who are created to be. All of the things that has been around you all these years seems like the reality of who you are but it really isn't. What God has and sees in you IS the reality. What you've been through and your current circumstances are there to shape you. It's all about how you respond and the best way to respond is to give it over to Jesus and let Him fight your battles as He gives you a new perspective, His perspective. While you give it over you will find who you truely are in Him and let that be your reality because it is. That very place in God is where you will find your vehicle for change.

Please pray with me...

Lord Jesus. I love you and need you. Please help me understand my purpose and how much you love me. I need you to show me the plans that you have for me so that I can be liberated from all the things that have been penetrated into my spirit because of years of being around a negative environment. Anoint my life and mind that I may walk in your environment. The environment of liberty, confidence and boldness. I want to be shifted in you. I love you Lord. Cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Make me free and Lord, please change my environment. In Jesus name. Amen.

Be Unstuck

"...this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."

Why are you still there? Why have you not left that place yet? What place you may ask? You know what place. That place where such and such happened to you. When he/she said this/that to you? Or when/where you did it to yourself and now you have regrets? That place of way back when. Being in that place is holding you back from the present and future God has given you. You are stuck and the only way for you to be unstuck is to forget what is in the past and reach for what is in the future. How can God show you your future if you don't get into the present? I know it's hard and most of the time even painful. It is difficult to do but it is doable, especially through Jesus Christ.

Here is how I am free and continue to be free from my past hurts and disappointments...get some oil. Oil? Yes oil, it represents the anointing of God. This oil never runs dry. You can draw from it 24/7. The more you draw the easier being unstuck will be and the greater the possibility will be of you never being stuck again. It will cause your countenance to shine. It will cause all the negativity that people bring your way to slide off of you. Go ahead, try it. Get oil (the anointing) around every area of your life so that you can slip into what God has for you.

"How do I get oil?" you may ask. Through worship, prayer and reading your bible. Sounds corny? Seeking the Lord is never corny. There is fullness of joy there. Pleasures forever more there. Don't cheat yourself of the joy, peace and love for something that you cannot change (that thing in the past). All that stuff you are harboring inside is really harming your progress. Instead, press toward the mark like Paul said. Be unstuck. God has a higher place for you ahead.

I heard a great man (Bishop Eddie Long) attach these key words to the word PAST. I added some insight to what these words may be in context to PAST:

Perspective - Change it. You are looking too low. Elevate your sight.
Adjust - Get familiar in the place where God has you now. You've been so stuck you don't realize your present blessings.
Sacrifice - Give up the past for a greater present and future. It hurts but you can do it. If you want your life back, let go.
Trust - God helps those who help themselves. Believe it and it will be done.
